The mejority of the people in Mirahawatta depends on agriculture. mostly cultivate paddy as their traditional Profession in one season.In another season vegetables such as potatoes,carrot,cabbage and bean are cultivated by the farmers to fulfill their economic needs.Some villagers engage in tea plantation and other economical crops.So evergreen paddy cultivation and tea plantation are natural beauties of the village.some people grow flowers to devolop their economy
